Hey, lovely friends! I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite ways to combat the winter blues is with a favorite book and a hot drink. My go-to recently has been a London Fog with a little bit of cinnamon and maple syrup. Make it in your favorite mug, and you have the beginning of the perfect cozy evening!
Maple Spice London Fog
Ingredients
- 1 Earl Grey tea bag
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Steep the tea bag in the hot water. I tend to leave it in longer (3-5 minutes) but you can leave it in as little or as long as you want, depending on how strong you like your tea.
- Add the maple syrup and cinnamon; stir well.
- Heat up your milk in the microwave or on the stove. If you have a frother, use it to froth up the heated milk.
- Tip: bringing the frother slightly out of the milk will add more foam, while keeping it in the milk will create less foam.
- Remove the tea bag and pour the hot milk into the tea.
- Serve immediately. I love enjoying this on a cold evening with one of my favorite mystery books!
